Overview
Intellinet 508582 is a Gigabit Fiber WDM Bi-Directional SFP optical transceiver module designed for single-mode fiber connectivity in enterprise networks, data centers, and service provider environments. It enables long-distance Ethernet links using compatible SFP-equipped switches and routers.
The module supports 1000Base-BX-U Gigabit Ethernet with a 1 Gbps data rate and uses WDM technology to transmit and receive data over a single fiber strand. It operates with TX 1310 nm and RX 1550 nm wavelengths and supports fiber distances up to 40 km (25 miles).
Built in a standard SFP form factor with a metal housing, the transceiver supports hot-plug installation, Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM), and MSA compatibility for deployment across supported multi-vendor network equipment.
Suitable for single-mode fiber uplinks requiring 1000Base-BX-U connectivity. It must be paired with a compatible BiDi SFP module such as Intellinet 508599 or an equivalent 1000Base-BX-D transceiver. It is not intended for multimode fiber networks or non-SFP interfaces.
