Overview
Intellinet 508964 is an industrial Fast Ethernet media converter designed to extend Ethernet networks by converting copper-based 10/100Base-TX connections to 100Base-FX multimode fiber. It is used in industrial networks, edge deployments, automation systems, and environments requiring longer-distance fiber connectivity.
The converter provides one RJ45 copper port and one SC multimode fiber port, supporting up to 100 m copper transmission and up to 2 km fiber transmission. It enables network expansion between remote equipment, buildings, and industrial locations without adding additional routing hardware.
Built with an IP40-rated metal housing, DIN-rail mounting capability, redundant 12–56 VDC power inputs, and industrial temperature support from -40°C to 85°C, the unit is designed for harsh deployment environments.
Suitable for industrial Ethernet and fiber conversion applications requiring Fast Ethernet speeds. It is not intended for Gigabit Ethernet deployments or applications requiring higher fiber bandwidth.
