Engineered for flexible fiber network expansions, this SFP-to-SFP Gigabit Ethernet media converter provides dual empty slots to seamlessly bridge different fiber types, modes, and wavelengths. Network administrators and data center engineers deploy it to link multi-mode to single-mode environments, execute wavelength conversions, or extend network segments across long distances up to 100 km.

The unit features two unmanaged 1.25G Mini-GBIC SFP slots that accommodate any combination of multi-mode or single-mode transceivers. Built inside a robust, compact metal housing, it supports hot-swappable module replacements and operates on a plug-and-play basis without requiring software configuration.

Designed as a standalone desktop device, it can also be housed simultaneously within a 19-inch rack-mountable media converter chassis for high-density wiring closets.

Compatibility covers standard 1.25G Gigabit SFP transceivers operating across 850, 1310, or 1550 nm wavelengths. Do not attempt to use 10G SFP+ modules or standard copper SFP transceivers that exceed the electrical and physical tolerances of this 1G SFP architecture.
