Overview :

The INTELLINET 509763 is a passive Direct Attach Copper (DAC) breakout cable that converts a single 100 Gigabit QSFP28 connection into four independent 25 Gigabit SFP28 links. It is designed for high-density data centers, enterprise networks, cloud infrastructure, and high-performance computing (HPC) environments where short-reach, high-bandwidth connectivity is required.

The cable delivers an aggregated bandwidth of 100 Gbps by providing four 25 Gbps SFP28 channels over passive twinax copper. Its low-latency, low-power design consumes less than 0.1 W per connector end and eliminates the need for separate optical transceivers, reducing deployment costs and simplifying installation. It also supports QDR InfiniBand, SAS, and Fibre Channel Protocol (FCP) applications.

With a cable length of 7 ft (2 m), the 509763 is suited for Top-of-Rack (ToR) switching, server-to-switch connectivity, adjacent rack interconnects, switch stacking, and storage networking. Durable zinc die-cast QSFP28 and SFP28 connectors with pull-to-release latches support hot-swappable operation for simplified maintenance.

The cable is MSA- and IBTA-compliant and programmed for compatibility with Cisco and numerous other MSA-compliant networking platforms. It is intended for short-distance passive DAC applications and should not be used for long-distance optical links or installations requiring fiber transceivers.
