Specially optimized for high-density contact centers, legacy corporate communication networks, and fast-paced customer support hubs, this legacy hardware bridge eliminates the manual dependency of a mechanical handset lifter. It resolves operational bottlenecks by allowing communication agents to answer and end calls directly from their wireless headset interface while moving freely up to 450 feet away from their desks.
The adapter functions as a bidirectional signaling translator between the native software logic (MSH protocol) of compatible Alcatel-Lucent desk phones and the base station of a Jabra wireless headset. When an incoming call hits the phone terminal, the cable passes a ring tone alert directly to the operator’s earpiece. Pressing the call button on the headset instantly commands the EHS link to open the phone line, streamlining workflow efficiency and increasing daily call capacity.
This deployment accessory features a specialized multi-terminal branching architecture. One end consists of an RJ45 and an RJ10 plug that interface with the auxiliary (AUX) and phone ports of the headset base station, while the opposing Y-coupling end splits into a 3.5mm audio plug and an RJ12 plug to connect directly to the phone’s headset interface and bell socket.
