Operating at a nominal wavelength of 1310nm using a Distributed Feedback (DFB) laser, this hot-pluggable module supports Gigabit Ethernet speeds (1GbE) with a maximum transmission distance of up to 40 kilometers over single-mode fiber (SMF). It terminates via a standard duplex LC connector interface and includes Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) for real-time performance tracking.

Engineered for deployment within enterprise data centers, extended campus networks, and inter-building metropolitan links. It integrates seamlessly into SFP slots on Opengear operations managers, resilience gateways, and compatible routing hardware without requiring specialized configuration tools.

Fully compatible with Opengear OM1200, OM2200, and other Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) compliant networking hardware equipped with 1GbE SFP slots. Do not use this single-mode transceiver for multi-mode fiber runs or short-distance links where lower-cost optics are appropriate.
