The Opengear EMD5781-10 is a door contact sensor designed for use with compatible Opengear Environmental Monitoring Devices (EMD). It detects door open and door closed states, allowing IT teams to monitor physical access to racks, cabinets, and equipment enclosures in data center, branch, and edge environments.
The sensor integrates with Opengear environmental monitoring solutions to generate alerts when door status changes are detected. It complements temperature, humidity, smoke, water leak, and vibration monitoring, helping administrators improve physical infrastructure security and environmental awareness. The sensor includes a factory-installed 10-foot cable for flexible installation within equipment racks and cabinets.
The EMD5781-10 is intended for deployment with compatible Opengear Environmental Monitoring Devices and supported Opengear console servers. It is not designed for standalone operation or direct Ethernet connectivity.
