Overview :

The Oracle Server X8-2L is a high-performance, 2U rack-mount server designed to balance compute, memory, and I/O density. Powered by up to two 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, it is engineered specifically for demanding enterprise database deployments, large-scale virtualization, and storage-heavy applications like NoSQL and Hadoop.

This platform provides significant storage flexibility, supporting up to 12 Large Form Factor (LFF) drives or high-speed NVMe flash configurations. It includes 11 PCIe 3.0 expansion slots, offering exceptional I/O throughput for high-performance networking and storage interconnects. The server is optimized for the Oracle software stack, featuring built-in proactive fault detection and remote management via Oracle Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM).

It is intended for enterprise data centers requiring high storage capacity and compute performance in a compact 2U footprint. It should not be used for low-profile, low-power edge deployments, as the hardware is optimized for high-intensity, rack-dense enterprise computing.
