Ruckus 10G-SFPP-SR-S8 10Gbps Short Range SFP Transceiver
Overview
The Ruckus 10G-SFPP-SR-S8 is a 10 Gbps SFP+ optical transceiver module engineered for short-range links over multimode fiber (MMF), typically used in enterprise data-centre, access-aggregation, or campus distribution networks. It uses an 850 nm wavelength VCSEL laser and LC duplex connector to support 10GBASE-SR links up to about 300 m on OM3 MMF or ~400 m on OM4 fiber. It’s designed to plug directly into the SFP+ port of an Ethernet switch, router or optical module slot, therefore enabling high-speed uplinks, server-to-switch links or adjacent rack interconnects without changing chassis. Compatible with Ruckus networking platforms and branded to guarantee interoperability and warranty compliance when used with Ruckus gear. n real deployment terms: if you know you have a 10 Gb uplink from an access switch to aggregation or from server rack to spine and the existing fiber is multimode OM3/OM4, this module gives you the high-speed optical link with diagnostic support (DOM/monitoring), and the compact SFP+ form factor suits high-density switch chassis. For engineers: you get 10 G throughput, “SR” reach over MMF, hot-swappable form factor, and Ruckus-qualified assurance.
