Ruckus E1MG-TX – SFP 1000BASE-TX Copper Transceiver
Overview :
The Ruckus E1MG-TX is a 1 Gbps small-form-factor pluggable (SFP) copper transceiver designed for enterprise and campus LAN uplinks in environments where RJ-45 copper is preferred over fiber. It supports 1000BASE-TX over twisted-pair cabling and plugs directly into SFP ports on compatible switches, enabling cost-effective copper connectivity up to 100 meters. This module fits in networks deployed at branch offices, wiring closets, access-layer switches or campus edge distribution, and integrates with Ruckus (formerly Brocade) equipment for seamless insertion. It is TAA-compliant, hot-swappable, and maintains SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) compliance to ensure compatibility and serviceability. Engineers should use this transceiver for reliable gigabit copper links where fiber is not practical, ensuring straightforward copper media integration in their switch-based infrastructure.
