Overview
The RUCKUS E100G-QSFP28-DR1 is a 100 Gigabit Ethernet QSFP28 optical transceiver engineered for high-density data-centre, campus spine and carrier interconnect environments. It provides a single-lambda 1310 nm link over single-mode fibre up to ~500 m — a solid fit when you need full-speed 100 GbE without using parallel optics or breakout cables. The hot-pluggable QSFP28 form-factor lets network engineers drop this into access, aggregation or core gear that supports 100GBASE-DR1 or 100GLambda-MSA modules. WitE100G-QSFP28-DR1h support for host forward-error-correction (FEC) and Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM), it not only handles raw throughput but also operational telemetry and diagnostics. Because it uses a single wave at 1310 nm, fibre-plant planning is simpler compared with multi-wavelength or coarse/WDM modules.
