The Ruckus Wireless E40G-QSFP-C-0501 is a passive copper direct-attach twinax cable designed for 40 Gigabit Ethernet (40GBase-CU) links between QSFP+ ports in high-density data centres, aggregation racks or switch stacks. It utilises a QSFP+ to QSFP+ form-factor and supports link distances up to 5 m (≈ 16.4 ft) over suitable twinax copper cable. The passive twinax design offers low power consumption and minimal latency compared to optical modules. This product is compliant with QSFP+ MSA standards and supports IEEE 802.3ba 40G Ethernet protocol. It is ideal for short-reach interconnects within racks or across adjacent racks, and integrates seamlessly into mixed-brand environments supporting QSFP+ interfaces.
