Overview

The SonicWall TZ470 (part number 02-SSC-2829) is a seventh-generation next-generation firewall (NGFW) in a desktop/rackable form factor. It’s designed for small to medium-sized branch offices or distributed deployments requiring high performance security without heavy data center gear. With a firewall throughput of 3.5 Gbps and strong VPN and inspection capabilities, it protects growing networks with real-time threat prevention.It includes eight 1 GbE RJ-45 ports plus two 2.5 GbE ports, giving you more bandwidth headroom for uplinks or high-speed links. The device supports 150 IPsec VPN tunnels and can handle up to 1,000,000 concurrent connections, making it practical for many remote-site and site-to-site use cases. It runs SonicOS 7.0, allowing cloud integration, zero-touch provisioning, and seamless SD-WAN deployment.This appliance fits well in branch/SMB offices where throughput demand is rising, but where you don’t want to move to a heavier rack-mount firewall.
