Overview
The StarTech IES1G52UP12V is a ruggedized, unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for harsh industrial environments. It features five ports in total: four Gigabit PoE+ ports and one dedicated Gigabit SFP slot for long-distance fiber uplinks. This switch is specifically engineered for deployments where standard 48V power is unavailable, as its integrated power booster allows it to accept 12V to 56V DC input while still delivering full 30W PoE+ (802.3at) to connected devices.
Housed in a compact, IP30-rated metal enclosure, the unit is built to withstand extreme temperatures, vibrations, and electromagnetic interference commonly found in factory floors, outdoor surveillance cabinets, and transportation hubs. It supports DIN-rail or wall mounting, providing flexible installation options in space-constrained control panels.
The IES1G52UP12V features redundant power inputs with terminal block connectors to ensure maximum uptime; if the primary power source fails, the switch seamlessly transitions to the secondary source. It is an unmanaged “plug-and-play” device, making it ideal for rapid deployment in edge networks where complex software configuration is not required.
