Overview :

The J9151D-ST is a carrier-grade SFP+ fiber transceiver module engineered to be 100% compatible with HPE switches and routers. It serves as a high-reliability alternative to the OEM J9151D, programmed and tested to ensure seamless integration and identical performance in enterprise data centers and high-density distribution layers.

This module provides 10Gbps throughput over single-mode fiber (SMF) infrastructure using a 1310nm wavelength. It is rated for long-reach applications, supporting link distances up to 10 km (6.2 miles), making it the standard choice for building-to-building connectivity or long-haul uplinks within a campus environment.

The transceiver supports Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM), allowing network engineers to monitor real-time parameters such as laser bias current, optical output power, and temperature via SNMP. It is hot-swappable, ensuring that maintenance or upgrades can be performed without taking down the entire switch stack. This module is intended for single-mode cabling and is not compatible with multi-mode fiber.
