The StarTech P10Q4C-USB-CARD-LP is a professional-grade PCIe expansion card designed to add high-speed USB-C connectivity to small form factor (SFF) workstations and servers. It addresses the growing need for high-bandwidth peripheral support by providing four independent USB-C ports, each capable of 10Gbps throughput, on a single low-profile card.

Built with dual ASMedia ASM3142 controllers and an integrated PCIe switch, this card optimizes data transfer rates even when multiple ports are active simultaneously. It is engineered for data-intensive applications such as high-speed external storage arrays, NVMe enclosures, and professional video capture devices, ensuring consistent performance without the bottlenecks typically found in shared-bandwidth hubs.

The card features a low-profile bracket for installation in compact chassis but includes a full-profile bracket for standard tower deployments. It is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux. This card is not recommended for legacy systems with PCIe slots older than Gen 3.0 if full 10Gbps per port performance is required, nor does it support USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode or Power Delivery (PD) for laptop charging.
