Technically, the adapter converts a USB 2.0 signal into a 100Base-FX fast Ethernet fiber connection. It features an integrated SC multi-mode fiber connector that supports data transmission over distances up to 2km (1.2 miles) using 62.5/125µm or 50/125µm fiber cabling.
