Overview :
The TRENDnet TC-P16C5E is a 1U, 16-port unshielded patch panel designed for structured cabling in enterprise or data center networks. It’s used by network engineers to terminate and manage copper Cat5e cabling, providing stable connections to switches, routers or other active gear. It supports copper Gigabit Ethernet (1000Base-T) while operating at 100 MHz, making it suitable for Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, and Gigabit deployments. The panel accommodates both T568A and T568B wiring schemes via color-coded Krone-style IDC connectors, easing installation and maintenance. Its back-end termination supports backward compatibility with older cable categories (Cat 3, Cat 4, Cat 5), which helps protect investment in legacy cabling while preparing the infrastructure for higher-speed future use. Rugged steel housing and rack-mount design make it appropriate for both data center racks and telecom closets.
