The TRENDnet TEG-102S is a compact, external Ethernet splitter that takes a single gigabit RJ-45 input and duplicates it into two independent gigabit RJ-45 outputs, enabling two devices to share one network drop without a full network switch. It is designed for environments where adding a switch isn’t practical — for instance, in conference rooms, small offices, or remote work setups. Powered via a USB-C cable (5 V, 1–2 A), it removes the need for a bulky power adapter and simplifies deployment. With a rugged metal housing and a fanless design, the splitter remains quiet and reliable under continuous use. Its internal switching fabric can handle a throughput capacity of up to 4 Gbps, reducing the risk of bottlenecks. The unit supports jumbo frames (up to 9 KB) for more efficient large-packet transfers and includes LED indicators to show port status.
