Overview
The TRENDnet TPE-E110 is a Gigabit PoE+ Extender designed to overcome the standard 100-meter limitation of Ethernet cabling. It is engineered for scenarios requiring the installation of PoE devices like IP cameras, wireless access points, or VoIP phones in locations far from the nearest network switch. By capturing power and data from a single PoE+ input, this device regenerates the signal and extends the total connection distance to 200 meters, effectively doubling the reach without needing a local power source for the extender itself. This extender simplifies remote installations and reduces infrastructure costs by eliminating the need for additional power outlets and wiring. The TPE-E110 intelligently auto-detects whether the connected device requires IEEE 802.3af PoE (15.4W) or 802.3at PoE+ (30W) and delivers the appropriate amount of power. For even greater distances, multiple units can be daisy-chained, allowing for a highly scalable and flexible network topology in large facilities like warehouses, campuses, or parking lots.
