Eaton AVR750U – UPS 750 VA / 450 W Line‑Interactive
Overview
The Eaton AVR750U (Tripp Lite series) is a 750 VA / 450 W line‑interactive uninterruptible power supply (UPS) designed to protect small IT gear, desktop systems, networking devices, and edge electronics against power disturbances. It delivers battery‑supported AC output during short outages and corrects undervoltages/overvoltages through built‑in automatic voltage regulation (AVR) without switching to battery unnecessarily.
This UPS features 12 NEMA 5‑15R outlets (six with UPS backup + six surge‑only) and a NEMA 5‑15P input at 120 V AC, suitable for North American power infrastructure. Automatic voltage regulation maintains output within acceptable limits from approximate 89 V to 145 V, improving stability before battery engagement. Communication is provided via a USB HID‑compliant port for host shutdown coordination.
The unit’s ultra‑compact desktop form factor supports placement on work surfaces or wall mount in small offices, retail kiosks, network closets, and digital signage environments where limited runtime and surge resistance are needed. Audible and LED status indicators communicate power/battery conditions.
AVR750U corrects brownouts and overvoltage events through voltage buck/boost circuits, preserving connected equipment from stress without immediately using battery energy. Runtime at full load is short (≈3 min) and longer at reduced loads.
This model is not suitable for data center critical equipment or sustained runtime requirements; choose larger capacity UPS systems or true online double‑conversion units for high‑availability infrastructures.
