The Xerox 497N02727 is a software license kit that unlocks the EFI Fiery Hot Folders and Virtual Printers feature for the Fiery print server on compatible Xerox printers . It is intended for print operators and production managers in professional printing environments who need to automate and streamline their print workflows . This software solves the problem of manual, repetitive print job processing by allowing users to set up monitored “hot” folders on the network; when a file is dropped into a hot folder, it is automatically printed using pre-defined job settings like paper size, finishing options, or color management, without any user interaction . Virtual Printers function similarly by presenting themselves as a specific printer queue with fixed print settings. Deployment is a software activation on the connected Fiery print server. Compatibility includes the Xerox PrimeLink C9065/C9070, AltaLink C8000/C8100/C8200 Series, and Color C60/C70 . This software requires a Fiery Server (e.g., 097N02379) and will not function on devices using a standard controller . It is not a physical hardware upgrade.
