The Xerox 497N05469 is an EFI Fiery Spot-On Kit, which is a software-based upgrade license for the Fiery RIP station . This powerful color management software solution is designed to meet the needs of professional printing environments, providing accurate and consistent color reproduction . It is intended for print operators, production managers, and IT administrators who require precise color matching for brand logos and other spot colors in an automated, application-independent workflow . The kit solves the problem of inconsistent spot color reproduction by allowing users to manage named colors on the Fiery controller, including all PANTONE, HKS, Toyo, and DIC names, directly on the server . Users can also create custom-named colors with specific CMYK values . Deployment is a software activation applied to the Fiery print server. Compatibility includes select Xerox AltaLink B8100/C8000/C8100/C8200 Series, and PrimeLink C9065/C9070 color printers . This kit is not compatible with printers that do not use an EFI Fiery controller or with non-Xerox equipment.
