The TRENDnet TEG-10GBS20 is a 10 Gigabit SFP+ transceiver designed for long-range single-mode fiber links. Engineers use it to bridge network devices over campus backbones, data centers, or industrial sites that require reliable, high-speed optical connectivity. The module supports data rates up to 10.31 Gbps, making it suitable for high-throughput applications such as storage networks, core switch interconnects, and video distribution. It supports a duplex LC connector and operates at a 1310 nm wavelength, enabling single-mode fiber transmission over distances up to 20 km. Due to its hot-pluggable SFP+ form factor and MSA compliance, it integrates smoothly with standard 10 G SFP+ slots on switches, routers or media converters. This transceiver includes Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM), allowing real-time monitoring of parameters like temperature, optical power, and voltage. The low-power design (max 0.8 W) and durable metal housing make it a stable choice for deployments where both performance and power efficiency are critical.
