It’s designed for bi-directional data transmission over a single strand of single-mode fiber up to 10 kilometers, making it ideal for cost-efficient, high-reliability Gigabit Ethernet communication in enterprise and data center environments. The module transmits on a 1490nm wavelength and receives on a 1310nm wavelength, allowing for duplex communication over a single fiber strand, which helps reduce infrastructure costs.
