Overview

APC APDU11452SM is a switched, metered rack power distribution unit (PDU) designed for three‑phase 208 V AC environments where remote outlet control and detailed power visibility are required. It is deployed by data center infrastructure teams and rack technicians to manage and cycle power to equipment in high‑density server and network racks with precision.

The PDU accepts a three‑phase 208 V AC input via an IEC 60309 60 A 3P+PE connector and is rated for 60 A input current. It provides a total load capacity of approximately 17.3 kW and supplies 42 outlets with combination receptacles capable of accommodating C13, C15, C19, and C21 plugs, enabling flexible device connectivity.

Physically, this unit installs in a zero U vertical format alongside rack rails, preserving usable U‑space within 19″ racks. A 3 m input cord simplifies connection to upstream power sources in typical data center topologies.

Network management and remote switching are supported via a Gigabit Ethernet interface and the removable Network Management Card 3 (NMC3), allowing integration with standard web, SNMP, and command line (CLI) management workflows. Outlet‑level metering and PDU‑level measurements provide real‑time current and energy feedback with ~1 % accuracy to assist in load planning and capacity assessment.

This model is not intended for unmanaged AC distribution; its design presumes environments where remote control, measurement precision, and outlet sequencing are essential.
