The Eaton 9PX2000RT‑L is a 2U online double‑conversion uninterruptible power supply designed for IT infrastructure teams and network architects requiring conditioned, continuous power for rack‑mount servers, storage, and networking equipment. It addresses voltage fluctuations, frequency variation, and utility interruptions with true sine wave output and zero transfer time, protecting against data corruption and equipment damage.

This UPS delivers a 2000 VA / 1800 W output capacity with a 0.9 power factor, suitable for active PFC loads commonly found in modern IT hardware. It operates at nominal 120 V and maintains output within ±1 % regulation under steady‑state conditions. The unit includes six NEMA 5‑20R and one NEMA L5‑20R receptacles for load connectivity.

The 9PX2000RT‑L sits in a 2U rack/tower form factor, integrating into standard 19‑inch cabinets in IDF/MDF network closets, branch data closets, and small data center environments with 120 V power distribution. Its rack/tower convertible design enables flexible installation alongside PDUs, switches, and servers.

It uses lithium‑ion (LiFePO₄) battery chemistry with an integrated Battery Management System (BMS) for temperature regulation and life‑cycle monitoring, offering longer service life and consistent performance compared with traditional VRLA batteries. Hot‑swappable internal batteries and support for up to four extended battery modules (EBMs) allow scalable runtime options.

In practice, the 9PX2000RT‑L can support a rack of critical IT loads through short utility outages or provide enough time for automated shutdown when extended outages occur. When paired with EBMs, it can bridge longer outages typical in remote or branch deployments.

This UPS is not suitable for three‑phase input power environments, installations requiring input voltages outside the 100–125 V range, or deployments where output runtime beyond manufacturer‑supported EBM scaling is required.
