Overview

The Eaton 9SX3000 is a double-conversion online uninterruptible power supply (UPS) engineered for IT environments requiring continuous, conditioned AC power. IT engineers, network architects, and data center teams deploy it to mitigate outages, brownouts, and unstable power conditions that can impact servers, storage, and networking equipment.

It delivers a 3000 VA / 2700 W output with a 0.9 power factor, providing true sine-wave output suitable for sensitive IT loads. The UPS includes multiple output receptacles—four NEMA 5‑20R and one NEMA L5‑30R—and connects via a NEMA L5‑30P input, compatible with standard 120 V AC circuits.

Its tower form factor allows deployment in server rooms, IDFs, edge cabinets, and small data center racks where high-availability power is required without a large footprint. The integrated static bypass ensures uninterrupted operation during internal faults.

Management and monitoring are handled via a 5-button graphical interface, USB and RS‑232 ports, and a Mini-Slot expansion port for optional network management cards. Eaton Intelligent Power Manager (IPM) software enables centralized monitoring and automated shutdown for virtualized or physical systems.

For extended runtime, external battery modules (EBMs) can be added. The 120 V model is not suitable for 208/230 V distribution systems; higher-voltage variants should be selected in those environments.
