Eaton 9PX2000RT – Online UPS 2000VA
Overview
The Eaton 9PX2000RT is a double-conversion online UPS designed to deliver continuous, conditioned power to critical IT and network infrastructure. It is deployed by data center engineers and network administrators to maintain uptime and protect equipment from outages, voltage instability, and frequency deviations. The system isolates connected loads from input anomalies by continuously regenerating output power.
This unit provides a power capacity of 2000VA / 1800W and operates with true online double-conversion topology, ensuring zero transfer time during power disturbances. It outputs a regulated 120V sine wave and supports mixed NEMA receptacles, including six 5-20R and one L5-20R outlet, enabling connection of both standard and higher-current devices. The UPS maintains tight voltage regulation within ±1% under steady-state conditions.
The 9PX2000RT is designed for deployment in standard 19-inch racks or as a tower unit, occupying 2U of rack space. It is commonly installed in small to mid-sized data centers, enterprise server rooms, and network closets where consistent power delivery is required. The rack/tower convertible design supports flexible installation in both structured racks and standalone environments.
The system operates within 100–120V single-phase power environments and integrates with upstream utility power, generators, and facility distribution systems. It includes support for external battery modules, allowing runtime extension without service interruption. Eaton’s ABM battery management system optimizes charging cycles to extend battery service life and provide predictive replacement alerts.
In a practical deployment, the 9PX2000RT supports a rack containing virtualization hosts, network switches, and storage appliances. During a power event, the UPS maintains continuous output while enabling controlled shutdown through USB or serial communication interfaces, preventing data corruption and service disruption.
This unit is not suitable for high-density racks exceeding 1800W load requirements or environments requiring 208V or three-phase output. It is also not intended for deployments needing integrated network management without adding an optional network card.
