Eaton ASY-0529 Extended Battery Module

Overview :

The Eaton ASY-0529 is a replacement and extended battery module designed for Eaton Powerware 9170 and 9170+ modular UPS systems. It is used in enterprise UPS deployments where scalable runtime and hot-swappable battery architecture are required for critical infrastructure protection.

This 60V battery pack is deployed in data centers, telecom rooms, network edge installations, and industrial power continuity environments where the Eaton 9170 platform is installed. The module supports modular UPS expansion strategies and allows administrators to increase runtime without replacing the UPS chassis.

The ASY-0529 uses a plug-in module form factor and is installed directly into supported UPS battery slots. Eaton specifies that two battery modules are required per slot string in supported 9170/9170+ systems. The module is intended only for compatible Eaton Powerware UPS platforms and should not be used with non-supported UPS architectures or third-party battery systems.
