Overview
The Eaton BHDBT-U3-3A1C-K is a professional HDBaseT USB 3.2 Gen 1 extender kit designed for long-distance USB device extension over structured Cat6a cabling. It enables reliable transmission of USB peripherals across extended distances in conference rooms, control rooms, industrial automation setups, and AV integration environments.
The system extends USB 3.2 Gen 1 signals up to 100 meters (328 ft) using a single Cat6a cable, supporting high-speed data transfer up to 5 Gbps. It includes dual host switching capability, allowing two host computers to share a single USB device set via USB-C and USB-B inputs on the transmitter unit.
The extender supports up to 7 USB peripherals (11 USB endpoints total), including cameras, storage devices, keyboards, mice, and industrial control equipment. It also includes RS-232 and GPIO pass-through for integration with AV control and automation systems.
Power over Cable (PoC) allows a single power supply to energize both transmitter and receiver, simplifying deployment in rack, wall, or remote installations. The system is designed for plug-and-play operation with no drivers required.
This device is not a network switch or AV-over-IP solution and requires direct Cat6a point-to-point cabling between units.
