The Eaton Tripp Lite Series PDU40TDUAL is a 0U vertical rackmount single-phase dual-circuit basic power distribution unit (rPDU) engineered to supply high-density power to mission-critical infrastructure. Datacenter engineers and procurement teams deploy this space-saving 70-inch structural strip to deliver continuous AC power to enterprise servers, storage arrays, and network networking components outfitted with dual redundant power supplies.

Operating as two independent 20A PDUs isolated within a single aluminum chassis, the PDU40TDUAL provides a combined capacity of 3.8kW at 120V nominal input. The structural architecture splits its 40 NEMA 5-15/20R outlets evenly into two distinct power circuits of 20 outlets each. To streamline system balancing and source tracking inside dense enclosures, each internal circuit—including its corresponding 10-foot input power cable, internal 20A magnetic circuit breaker, and outlet housing bank—is completely color-coded in black or gray.

The mechanical interface is intentionally built with a switchless configuration to eliminate the risk of accidental human-error shutdowns during routine server maintenance. The unit features dual attached 10-foot power cables terminated with locking NEMA L5-20P input plugs. Two included NEMA L5-20R to NEMA 5-20P plug adapters are packed with the hardware to ensure deployment flexibility across both locking and standard straight-blade utility grid or UPS receptacles. It supports toolless button-mount vertical integration within standard EIA-compliant 19-inch equipment racks.
