Overview

The Eaton SMART1000RMX2UN is a compact yet highly capable line-interactive UPS designed for distributed IT rack systems, edge deployments and network closets where reliability and manageability matter. With a 1 kVA (1000 VA) / 1 kW output at a unity power factor, it delivers full real-load capacity in a 2-U rack/tower form-factor. It uses pure sine-wave output and features automatic voltage regulation (AVR) to correct brown-outs and over-voltages without relying on the battery, extending service life of the internal battery bank. The unit includes a built-in network card interface for remote monitoring and control, enabling SNMP/web access, power-offline switching and alerting. With hot-swappable sealed lead-acid battery modules and support for optional external battery packs for extended runtime, this UPS is ideal for applications where you need dependable power protection combined with remote manageability—such as racks housing servers, storage, PoE switches or edge-network gear in locations where space is at a premium.
