Overview

The Eaton SMART1500RM2UN is a 1500 VA / 1350 W line‑interactive uninterruptible power supply (UPS) designed to safeguard servers, network storage, and critical IT gear from power disturbances such as brownouts, blackouts, surges, and electrical noise. It delivers conditioned AC power with fast transfer to battery when mains voltage deviates beyond acceptable thresholds.

This UPS uses automatic voltage regulation (AVR) to correct under‑ and over‑voltage conditions (approximately 83 V–147 V) without engaging the battery, reducing unnecessary battery use. Its internal hot‑swappable battery pack supports roughly 13 minutes at half load and 4.5 minutes at full load on battery power, enabling orderly shutdowns or short‑duration bridge power.

Connectivity includes a NEMA 5‑15P input with a 10 ft (3 m) power cord and eight NEMA 5‑15R output receptacles, four of which can be remotely switched via management interfaces, allowing flexible load control in rack environments.

Management and monitoring consist of a front‑panel LCD for load, voltage, and battery state; USB and serial (DB9) ports; Emergency Power Off (EPO) interface; and a pre‑installed WEBCARDLX network management card enabling secure remote access via SNMP, web browser, SSH, or telnet.

The 2U rack/tower chassis ships with 4‑post rack mount hardware and can be deployed in server rooms, edge closets, or branch IT closets where conditioned line power and orderly shutdown capability are needed. Its form factor and feature set are not intended for 208/230 V power infrastructures; choose an appropriate voltage model for those environments.
