The EXTREME NETWORKS 40G-DACA-QSFP1M is an enterprise-grade, high-velocity active direct attach copper (DAC) twinaxial cable assembly engineered for top-of-rack data center architectures and high-density storage networking loops. This active copper interconnect provides a high-reliability, low-latency alternative to optical transceivers for ultra-short range hardware connections. It resolves the excessive thermal footprints and power budgets typical of fiber links by relying on optimized internal equalization circuitry integrated directly within the pluggable housings.
The assembly features twinax active copper cabling terminated with hot-pluggable Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable Plus (QSFP+) MSA-compliant connectors on both endpoints.
