Overview :
The HP JD098B is a 1 Gb Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) optical transceiver used by network engineers to link switches or media converters over a single-mode fibre span. It supports 1000Base-BX10-U operation, providing a transmit wavelength of 1310 nm and receive wavelength of 1490 nm, with a reach of up to 10 km over single-mode fibre. This module is suited for deployment in data-centre aggregation, campus fibre runs or edge-access links where duplex fibre is scarce and bidirectional transmission is required. It integrates into HP networking platforms (including the X120 series) and supports digital diagnostics (DOM) for live fibre-link monitoring.
