Overview
The HPE JW018A (model AP-ANT-45) is a dual-band 4×4 MIMO sector antenna engineered for outdoor or semi-outdoor WiFi deployments that require focused coverage rather than full omnidirectional spread. It supports both the 2.4 GHz (2.4–2.5 GHz) and 5 GHz (4.9–6.0 GHz) bands with nominal gains of approximately 4.5 dBi and 5.5 dBi respectively, and a fixed 90° horizontal and 90° vertical beam-width for controlled sector coverage. Typical scenario: mounted on a building façade or rooftop, feeding a sector of wireless clients (for example along a balcony edge, retail open yard or campus courtyard) while limiting spill-over and interference to adjacent zones. It fits into campus, hospitality, manufacturing floor or large-venue outdoor WiFi zones. Compatible with external-antenna enabled APs using RP-SMA pigtail connectors.
