Overview
The HPE Q9D36A is a 1‑rack‑unit Fibre Channel switch offering 24 active ports with support for 32 Gb/s Fibre Channel link speed on each port, and backward compatibility to 16 Gb/s (and 8 Gb/s) Fibre Channel fabrics. It is designed for server‑to‑storage area network (SAN) connectivity in enterprise data‑centres, particularly in virtualised and all‑flash array environments where high throughput and low latency are critical. The unit provides full‑line‑rate forwarding, VSAN and zoning capabilities, and hot‑swappable redundancy in power supplies and fans, making it suitable for SAN edge, departmental or enterprise deployments.
