Overview :

The INTELLINET 508209 Gigabit PoE+ Media Converter integrates copper Ethernet infrastructure with long-range optical networks while delivering DC power to remote endpoints. Built for network engineers, IT administrators, and security integration teams, it bridges standard RJ45 local area networks with single-mode fiber backbones, eliminating the need to install localized AC electrical circuits at remote equipment sites.

Equipped with one 10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 port and one 1000Base-LX SC single-mode fiber port, the converter translates electrical signals to optical signals over a 1310 nm wavelength. It delivers full Gigabit throughput across distances up to 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) over 9/125 ?m fiber cabling. The integrated IEEE 802.3at/af PoE+ injector supplies up to 30 watts of power directly through the RJ45 port. Built-in Link Fault Passthrough (LFP) enables continuous link monitoring to minimize network downtime.

Housed in a compact IP30 metal enclosure, the unit operates as a standalone desktop device, mounts to walls, or installs into multi-slot rack chassis. It is engineered for powering remote IP PTZ surveillance cameras, outdoor wireless access points, building-to-building links, and VoIP communication systems. Do not use with multi-mode fiber cabling, passive non-standard PoE hardware, or connected load devices exceeding 30 watts.
