The Opengear OM1308-8E-C is an all-in-one, compact Operations Manager appliance designed for edge environments, remote branch offices, retail locations, and industrial deployments. By integrating 8 software-selectable RJ45 RS-232 serial console ports, a managed 8-port Gigabit Ethernet switch, and an integrated Global 5G Sub-6 / 4G LTE Cat 20 cellular modem into a single fanless 1U chassis, the OM1308-8E-C delivers resilient Smart Out-of-Band (Smart OOB™) management and primary WAN failover without requiring separate switching or wireless gateway hardware.

Powered by an ARM Cortex-A53 quad-core 1.6 GHz processor with 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM, 32 GB eMMC flash storage, and an embedded TPM 2.0 cryptoprocessor, the OM1308-8E-C natively supports edge automation workflows including Python scripting and Docker containerized applications. Featuring dual nano-SIM slots for carrier-level cellular redundancy, NetOps teams can manage, automate, and orchestrate the unit remotely through Opengear Lighthouse software to ensure uninterrupted network visibility during primary WAN outages.
