Overview :

The Opengear OM2224-24E is a rack-mount Operations Manager designed for secure out-of-band management of enterprise IT and network infrastructure. It combines 24 selectable serial console ports with an integrated 24-port Gigabit Ethernet management switch, enabling centralized access to routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and other critical infrastructure through a single appliance.

Powered by a quad-core x86 processor with 8 GB RAM and 64 GB SSD storage, the OM2224-24E supports Docker containers for edge applications, Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 for hardware-based security, and dual AC power supplies for high availability. Integrated Gigabit Ethernet with SFP uplink provides flexible deployment within enterprise data centers, colocation facilities, branch offices, and edge locations.

The appliance is intended for organizations requiring resilient remote infrastructure management, console access, and management network consolidation. It is suitable where integrated serial and Ethernet management are required. It should not be selected for environments requiring 10GbE uplinks, as those deployments require the OM2224-24E-10G variant.
