Overview :
The Ruckus E1MG-TX-A is a gigabit-capable SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) transceiver module designed for RJ-45 copper interfaces. It is used by network engineers to convert a host SFP port into a 1000BASE-TX link over standard Cat5e/6 twisted-pair cabling, solving the need for flexible uplink and edge port connectivity in switches and access equipment. The module supports full-duplex 1 Gbps Ethernet at distances up to 100 meters over copper, allowing it to plug directly into existing infrastructure without requiring fibre. It is suitable for use in enterprise campus, data centre edge and wiring-closet environments. The device is also TAA-compliant and meets industry SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) standards, making it compatible in mixed-vendor environments.
