Samsung MZ-77E4T0B/AM is a 4TB 2.5-inch SATA III solid-state drive from the 870 EVO series, designed for system upgrades, bulk storage, and legacy infrastructure where NVMe is not supported. It is widely deployed in desktops, laptops, and NAS environments requiring high-capacity SATA storage.

The drive operates on SATA III (6 Gb/s) and delivers sequential read speeds up to 560 MB/s and write speeds up to 530 MB/s, reaching the practical limit of the SATA interface. It integrates Samsung V-NAND flash with an MKX controller and 4GB LPDDR4 DRAM cache, enabling stable sustained performance under mixed workloads.

With endurance rated up to 2400 TBW and MTBF of 1.5 million hours, the drive is suitable for heavy consumer and prosumer workloads including content creation and data archiving.
