Overview
The StarTech DP14A-15M-DP-CABLE is a professional-grade, active DisplayPort 1.4 cable designed to deliver high-bandwidth video and audio signals over a long distance of 15 meters (49.2 feet). This hardware is an ideal solution for boardrooms, digital signage, and high-end workstations where the display is located far from the source computer. Unlike standard passive cables that suffer from signal degradation beyond 15 feet, this cable features an integrated active signal booster to maintain a stable, high-fidelity connection across its entire length.
This cable fully supports the DisplayPort 1.4 specification, providing a total bandwidth of up to 32.4Gbps. It is capable of driving resolutions up to 8K (7680 x 4320) at 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz, making it suitable for high-refresh-rate gaming, media production, and detailed architectural visualization. The cable also supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) for enhanced contrast and color accuracy, as well as Display Stream Compression (DSC 1.2) and Multi-Stream Transport (MST) for daisy-chaining multiple monitors.
Built for long-term reliability, the DP14A-15M-DP-CABLE features a flexible, fire-rated CL2-rated jacket, making it safe for in-wall installations in commercial and residential buildings. The connectors are equipped with a latching mechanism to prevent accidental disconnections, and the internal circuitry is powered directly by the DisplayPort source, eliminating the need for an external power supply. The cable is unidirectional, with clearly labeled “Source” and “Display” ends to ensure correct installation.
