Overview
The StarTech VID2VGATV2 is a high-resolution video scaler designed to bridge legacy analog video hardware with modern VGA displays. It allows security technicians, legacy system integrators, and AV professionals to monitor video feeds from CCTV cameras, older DVD players, or legacy medical equipment on standard computer monitors or projectors without requiring specialized analog input hardware.
This converter features integrated NTSC and PAL detection and supports output resolutions up to 1600×1200 or 1920×1080 (1080p). It utilizes an internal hardware scaler to process incoming signals, ensuring that lower-resolution composite or S-Video sources are correctly mapped to the native aspect ratio and resolution of the connected VGA display.
The device is housed in a compact, rugged chassis suitable for edge deployments or integration into equipment racks. It includes an On-Screen Display (OSD) for manual fine-tuning of brightness, contrast, and color. This unit is intended for unidirectional conversion (S-Video/Composite to VGA) and will not function in reverse for VGA-to-TV applications.
