Overview
The APC AP8930 is a switched rack power distribution unit (PDU) designed to distribute 120 V AC power to multiple rack‑mounted devices while providing remote outlet control and metering capabilities. It is deployed by data center engineers, rack infrastructure teams, and network administrators where controlled power cycling, rebooting, and sequenced power‑up/power‑down of equipment are required without physical access. This unit does not provide UPS‑style battery backup; its function is focused on power distribution and remote management within rack environments.
