APC SRT5KRMXLT 5000VA Online Rackmount UPS 208V
Overview :
The APC SRT5KRMXLT is a double-conversion online uninterruptible power supply designed to provide continuous conditioned power for enterprise rack infrastructure operating on a 208V electrical environment. Infrastructure engineers deploy this UPS to protect critical servers, storage arrays, and network switching platforms where even short power disturbances cannot be tolerated. The online topology continuously converts incoming AC power to DC and back to AC, isolating connected equipment from voltage fluctuations, frequency variations, and transient disturbances.
The unit provides a rated capacity of 5000VA with up to 4800W maximum output power, delivering a pure sine-wave output suitable for modern server power supplies and high-density IT hardware. It operates on a 208V input power infrastructure with support for configurable 208–240V output voltages. The UPS connects to upstream power through a NEMA L6-30P locking input plug and distributes power through multiple high-current outlets including NEMA L6-20R and NEMA L6-30R receptacles, enabling direct connection of rack-mounted equipment or upstream rack PDUs.
Physically, the UPS is designed as a 3U rackmount chassis for standard 19-inch server racks. This configuration allows deployment in enterprise data center racks, network aggregation cabinets, or high-power edge infrastructure cabinets where centralized rack-level power protection is required. The system weighs approximately 123 lb (55.8 kg) and is typically installed in the lower portion of the rack to maintain cabinet stability and support proper cable routing for high-current power connections.
The SRT5KRMXLT integrates directly into infrastructure monitoring environments through built-in network management capabilities and multiple communication interfaces including USB, serial, and Ethernet management ports. Administrators can monitor load conditions, battery status, runtime estimates, and power events remotely through SNMP-enabled monitoring systems. Emergency Power Off (EPO) support allows integration with facility safety systems and data center shutdown procedures.
A typical deployment scenario places this UPS in a 208V server rack powering virtualization hosts, blade chassis, storage arrays, and top-of-rack switching equipment where power quality must remain stable even during generator transfer events or utility disturbances. The UPS can bridge short outages and protect systems while standby generators start or while automated shutdown procedures execute.
This platform is not intended for branch office network closets or low-power equipment environments operating on standard 120V circuits. Its 208V electrical requirements and high-capacity output are designed specifically for enterprise rack deployments with dedicated power distribution infrastructure.
