Overview
The Eaton NG8POE-M2 is an unmanaged 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for high-bandwidth edge networking, PoE-powered infrastructure, and small-to-medium enterprise deployments. It combines eight 2.5GbE RJ45 PoE+ ports with a dedicated 10Gb SFP+ uplink for aggregation and high-speed backbone connectivity.
The switch supports up to 100W PoE power budget with IEEE 802.3at PoE+ capability, enabling direct power delivery to wireless access points, IP cameras, VoIP phones, edge gateways, and IoT devices without separate power adapters. Its 60Gbps switching capacity supports latency-sensitive workloads, high-throughput media traffic, and multi-gigabit wireless backhaul environments.
The fanless metal enclosure is designed for desktop and wall-mount deployments where silent operation and low maintenance are required. Energy Efficient Ethernet support reduces power usage during low network activity while maintaining continuous connectivity across active ports.
This model is suitable for branch offices, surveillance systems, creative production networks, Wi-Fi 6/6E infrastructure, and edge compute installations requiring multi-gig throughput with PoE support. It is not intended for deployments requiring Layer 3 routing, VLAN management, or advanced managed-switch controls.
