Overview

The Eaton PDUMV20NETLX is a 0U vertical switched rack PDU with integrated network management, designed for environments requiring remote outlet-level control and monitoring. It is deployed by data center engineers and IT administrators in rack environments where device-level power control is necessary for uptime management, remote reboot, and load balancing across circuits. This model addresses operational challenges in distributed or unmanned deployments where physical access is limited.

The unit operates within a 120 V single-phase power ecosystem and supports a 16 A continuous load (≈1.92 kW). It distributes power through 24 NEMA 5-15/20R outlets, all individually controllable via the network interface. Input is provided via NEMA L5-20P or 5-20P connections with a 10 ft (3.05 m) cord, allowing flexible integration into standard branch circuits or UPS-backed feeds.

Mechanically, the PDUMV20NETLX uses a 0U vertical mounting format, installing along rack rails without consuming rack units. It is compatible with 19-inch EIA racks and supports both toolless mounting and bracket installation, making it suitable for high-density racks in data centers, colocation facilities, and edge network cabinets.

Integration is enabled through the pre-installed LX platform (WEBCARDLX), supporting remote management via SNMP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, and CLI interfaces. Each outlet can be controlled individually, and the system includes Auto Probe functionality for monitoring and rebooting unresponsive devices. A digital ammeter provides real-time load visibility locally, while LEDs indicate outlet power status.

A typical deployment involves vertical installation in a rack powering switches, servers, and edge devices where administrators require remote reboot capability and power sequencing. This unit is not suitable for environments that only need basic or metered distribution without switching, as its network and control capabilities introduce unnecessary complexity.
