The Eaton PDUV30HV is a basic, no‑management power distribution unit (PDU) intended for delivering high‑density AC power in rack environments where simple, reliable distribution is required. It is deployed by data center engineers, network technicians, and facilities teams to aggregate a single high‑capacity feed into multiple receptacles for servers, switches, and storage gear. The PDU solves the need for vertical distribution of 208–240 V power in racks without metering, switching, or networked controls.

Electrically, this unit accepts a single‑phase 208/240 V AC feed via a NEMA L6‑30P 30 A input on an attached 10 ft (3 m) cord. Total distribution capacity is up to ~5.8 kW (30 A max, agency derated to ~24 A continuous) across 38 outlets: 32 IEC‑320‑C13 and 6 IEC‑320‑C19. Output outlets are arranged in two banks protected by dual 15 A breakers for overload protection.

Mechanically, the PDU features a 0U vertical form factor that mounts along standard EIA‑310 vertical rack posts without consuming usable rack U space. The all‑metal housing is ~63.75 in tall, enabling dense power receptacle placement in equipment racks, telco closets, and data center cabinets.

Integration is basic — there are no onboard meters, network interfaces, or outlet switching. This PDU is designed to distribute upstream UPS, generator, or utility power to connected IT equipment, with switch‑less design preventing accidental shutdown.
